Board of Assessors · Meeting of October 20, 2026

HADLEY — The Hadley Board of Assessors voted to digitize historic vault records after a cemetery official offered to scan the old documents at no cost. Board members approved the minutes of their Sept. 15 meeting, the October abatement list covering fiscal year 2026 and 2024, and Warrant Commitment No. 5 for fiscal year 2026 motor vehicle excise taxes. One member said digitizing the old property and cemetery records would make them "more accessible to the public" for residents searching old files, while the town keeps the original paper.

The board then voted by roll call, with members identified as Bannon, Jenny and Mitch, to enter executive session to discuss pending property tax appeal cases and valuations under state law; it did not reconvene afterward.
