Hadley Recorded Sales Show Wide Price Range, Limited Disclosure in Late-Summer Deeds
Fourteen property transfers were recorded in Hadley between Aug. 14 and Sept. 12, but only four listed a sale price, ranging from $87,500 to $399,000 with a median of $224,000. The month's top disclosed sale was 358 River Drive at $399,000, sold by Andrew J. Black to Florence Bank. Lawrence Plain Road and River Drive each saw two recorded transfers. Several entries were homestead declarations or legal notices rather than conventional sales, and a bank or mortgage entity appeared as buyer in all four price-disclosed transactions, limiting how much the raw data reveals about overall market conditions.
