HADLEY — The Hadley Housing Authority Board of Commissioners adopted its fiscal 2027 annual plan and approved a new five-year management agreement with the Amherst Housing Authority. The board voted 4-0 to approve the agreement, running October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2031, with a starting annual fee of $50,114. Executive Director Pamela, who runs Amherst's management of Hadley's authority, said "when we took over Hadley, they were in the red" but the arrangement now runs without added cost.
Commissioners also welcomed new board member Victoria Stankiewicz, approved warrant reports of $35,191.19 for May and $29,968.47 for June, and heard from Treasurer Rich Whitkus that reserves rose to 72 percent, up from 66 percent. The board discussed a $181,500 front-door replacement project delayed by asbestos-abatement coordination and a software glitch distorting tenant rent-arrears reports.
