Only Two of Ten Hadley Property Sales Disclose Price in August
Hadley recorded 10 property transfers between July 31 and Aug. 5, but only two disclosed a sale price: $375,000 for 294 River Dr. and $570,000 for 115 West St., the period's top sale, giving a median of $472,500 among priced sales. Four of the remaining transfers involved Hampshire College conveying Bay Road parcels to the town of Hadley on Aug. 3, and three others involved banks or mortgage-registration entities as buyer or seller. With 80 percent of recorded deeds omitting price, the data supports no conclusion about whether the market ran hot or cold this period.
