Hadley Cultural Council Opens FY26 Review With $5,743 for 46 Grant Applications

HADLEY — October 21, 2025 — Hadley Cultural Council opens FY26 grant cycle with $5,743 available against roughly $36,000 in requests from 46 applicants. The council met October 21 with four of its six members present to organize the review process rather than make any awards, with the treasurer reporting a state allocation of $5,700 plus $43 in carryover funds — and a potential additional $600 if reserved administrative and special-project funds go unused. Members were reminded by Massachusetts Cultural Council liaison Jay Wong that all council members must complete the State's Conflict of Interest Law Online Training before any voting meeting. The council plans a November initial-review meeting and a December final-decisions meeting, with denial notifications due in the state grants management system by December 31 and a full grant decisions report due January 16.
