HADLEY — The Hadley Planning Board approved a temporary sign for a Spirit Halloween store, capping it at 40 square feet after members said the mall is already over-signed. Chair James Maksimoski and Clerk William Dwyer walked the applicant through a bylaw requiring tenant signs stay under 40 square feet, rejecting proposed signs as large as 160 square feet. "The mall is already over-signed," Dwyer said.
The board voted 4-0, with member Joseph Zgrodnik absent, and continued public hearings for ZP Battery and 7 Brew Coffee to September 15. Maksimoski also said he would tell the Select Board the next night that the town's General Bylaw Study Committee has missed quorum for six straight meetings.
