Planning Board · Meeting of June 16, 2026

Hadley's Planning Board continued review of a 34-unit senior housing special permit after the fire department failed to respond on hydrant and road design. Attorney Sorrell, representing developer Todd Salura of Sovereign Builders, said her team had reached out "on several occasions" but "have not heard any comment back yet from the chief." Chair James Maksimoski noted the sitting fire chief is retiring within a month and a new deputy chief was hired only last week. The hearing was continued to July 7, 2026, with a fallback of July 21.

Separately, the board approved a sign for Perfect Nails and Spa and a conditional lot-line adjustment at 15 Shattuck Road, both 4-0, and paid a $1,430 invoice to the Pioneer Valley Planning Commission.
