Hadley Finance Committee Re-elects Chair Feiden, Names Hegg Vice Chair

HADLEY — November 17, 2025 — Hadley Finance Committee reorganizes, prepares for likely spring override question. The five-member panel re-elected Amy Feiden as chair and appointed newcomer Pam Hegg — a Revenue Cycle Management Director and Banner Committee chair — as vice chair at its November 17 meeting, with both votes unanimous. Paul McCretzky, a former collector-treasurer for both Hadley and Greenfield with nearly 50 years in municipal finance, was assigned as Town Hall liaison and will continue on the Capital Planning Committee as an at-large member; Peter Matusko takes the Capital Planning seat as the Finance Committee's representative and will serve as Public Safety liaison. Feiden said she plans to file a public records request for all town union and non-union contracts to build an independent salary baseline, calling salaries "huge" as a share of the operating budget. McCretzky flagged that a Proposition 2½ override is likely on the spring town meeting warrant, noting a prior override failed by roughly two to one. The committee's next meetings are scheduled for December 1 and December 15 at 6 p.m.
