Hadley Select Board Appoints Veteran Inspector as Temporary Building Commissioner
HADLEY -- April 3, 2026, Hadley Select Board fills building commissioner vacancy with temporary part-time appointment. The board voted 4-0 on April 3 to appoint David Wiskevitz, a 23-year veteran building official with the city of Amherst and part-time inspector for the town of Pelham, to serve as Hadley's temporary part-time building commissioner. Acting Chair Molly Keegan framed the appointment as a bridge measure, saying the board hoped Wiskevitz could carry the town "over this period where you may be looking for somebody a little more full-time." Member David Phil moved the appointment, saying he appreciated Wiskevitz "helping us out in this jam that we're in." All four members present, Keegan, Phil, Jane Nebensmith, and Amy Parsons, voted yes. No compensation figures or search timeline for a permanent replacement were discussed on the record.
