Hadley Conservation Commission Unanimously Backs TDR Funds for Four Farm Preservation Deals

HADLEY — March 24, 2025 — Hadley Conservation Commission votes unanimously to fund four farm preservation applications from town TDR account. At a special meeting Monday evening, the three-member commission approved a total of $40,928 from its Transfer of Development Rights account — which holds $85,403 — to support Agricultural Preservation Restriction applications on parcels at Stockbridge Street, Bay Road, Middle Street, and Roosevelt Street. The largest allocation, $20,615, covers the Kosky APR on Roosevelt Street, which carries a $41,230 total town match. Each TDR contribution is matched dollar-for-dollar by a Community Preservation Act fund application already submitted by staff to the CPA Committee, which met the same evening. After the four commitments, the TDR account will retain more than $44,000.
